Motoryacht and Sportfish Removal (36-60ft)

High-displacement vessels up to 60 ft, where the lift - not the length - is the constraint.

Displacement is the number that matters

A 48ft convertible sportfish can run 45,000-60,000 lbs. A 60ft motoryacht can exceed 90,000. The question is never 'how long is it' - it is what does it weigh, what is the beam at the sling points, and which lift within towing distance can take it.

Above roughly 50 tons the list of facilities in any given region gets short, and that constraint, not the labour, sets your cost and your timeline.

Sixty feet is our ceiling. Above that the work realistically belongs at a full-service marina with its own heavy-lift travel lift and deep water alongside - frequently the vessel cannot be brought to anyone else at all. If yours is over 60 ft, call anyway and we will tell you which facilities in your area can genuinely handle it, rather than taking a deposit on a job we should not be quoting.

What comes off first

Fuel is the big one. A 55ft motoryacht can hold 1,200 gallons of diesel. That is pumped, manifested and disposed of or recovered before the vessel moves.

Generators, refrigeration refrigerant, hydraulic systems, batteries and the tender all come off. Then the running gear, the electronics package and anything with resale value - which on this class of vessel is frequently substantial enough to move the final number a long way.

Transport

Anything with a beam over 8'6" needs a Florida DOT over-dimensional permit to move on a road. Over 12ft of beam typically needs escorts and daylight-only movement. On a wide sportfish this is a real cost line and a real scheduling constraint - it is also the line item that low-ball quotes leave out entirely.

28 feet and over is our speciality — not our limit. Larger vessels are what our equipment, permits and yard relationships are built around, and they are the jobs most haulers decline. Smaller boats are welcome too. See what the work costs and how to vet whoever you hire.

Other situations we handle

Tell us about the boat.

Send photos, a location and whatever paperwork exists. We will tell you what it takes to make it go away — and if there is a cheaper legal route than hiring us, we will tell you that too.
