Houseboat and Liveaboard Vessel Removal
Wide-beam, low-value, high-volume hulls that most haulers will not touch at any price.
The worst ratio in the business
A houseboat is the hardest disposal case in Florida: enormous beam, enormous interior volume to demolish, negligible salvage value, and frequently a hull that has not moved under its own power in a decade. There is nothing to recover to offset the cost, and the beam usually rules out road transport without a permit.
Owners of these boats routinely find that nobody will quote them at all. We will - and we will be honest that this is the category where the number is highest relative to what the boat was ever worth.
Liveaboard considerations
If somebody is living aboard, that is a housing situation before it is a marine one, and it has to be resolved before we mobilise. We will not remove a vessel that is somebody's residence without documented legal authority, and we will say so on the first call.
Demolition in place
Where the beam or the access makes transport impossible, the hull can sometimes be cut down in place on a barge or at the slip and removed in sections. It is slower and it needs containment, but on a wide houseboat it is frequently the only route.
28 feet and over is our speciality — not our limit. Larger vessels are what our equipment, permits and yard relationships are built around, and they are the jobs most haulers decline. Smaller boats are welcome too. See what the work costs and how to vet whoever you hire.
Other situations we handle
Tell us about the boat.
Send photos, a location and whatever paperwork exists. We will tell you what it takes to make it go away — and if there is a cheaper legal route than hiring us, we will tell you that too.
